About
Retreats4medics was created by Founder and Director Dr Yasmine Weeks.
A GP with fourteen years’ experience as a doctor, mum of three, yoga teacher and sports enthusiast. She suffered with burn out both personally and professionally and was unable to recognise the warning signs before they became overwhelming. This led to an exploration of a much deeper understanding of the underlying issues and barriers to accepting and accessing help. This led to her own ongoing journey of long-term healing and restoration. Since then, she has been passionate about providing her colleagues and other individuals with high quality accessible methods for self-care.

Mission
The concept was born out of a personal realisation of the unique challenges doctors face in not only accessing help but acknowledging when it is needed. Our ultimate goal is to help doctors, and other individuals develop practical strategies to down regulate and manage their stressors effectively, in the hope of leading a happier, healthier and more balanced life. We aim to do this by providing workshops in primary and secondary care. We are also able to use these techniques to help individuals on a 1-1 basis or in corporate and non medical settings on request.
Vision
Our vision was to create a safe, confidential environment where individuals are able to come together to explore their struggles, free of stigma and judgement. We saw a possibility of combining our skills of yoga, breathwork, meditation and coaching to provide a high quality and holistic wellness programme.
